Gonna pull the trigger on a new Tacoma before the year is out. Got a dilemma...the wife would like to have heated seats, but from what I can tell that's a $5000 option because of the package you have to get if you buy a Sport or Offroad. I noticed the Pro comes with that option anyways, but the price tag on a Pro is more than a Sport or Offroad would be with the $5000 option. I'm gonna try to get a 2019 model if one is still out there near me. My question, is the Pro worth getting over a Sport or Offroad with the $5000 option? What more do you get with the Pro? Seems like the Offroad is pretty close to the Pro anyways.

For the price of a TRD Sport + $5K, you could probably get a Limited which has the heated seats, leather, sunroof, etc.

The Limited wasn't offered in 2019, was it? Don't remember seeing them on the build page before it went to the 2020 models.

kinda depends if you DIY stuff. the Pros big add is the Fox suspension which your wife will certainly love and maybe you also. you can retrofit that on another model but if you pay labor and stuff...

re: the Pro.. i would be asking myself if the suspension is also worth that $5000 premium. other stuff like black headlights and leather aren't such a big deal.

Holy crap, Toyota combined the premium and tech packages, added LED headlights and doubled the price? Ouch. I'd get the Pro since you're basically within a grand of each other at that point (MSRP, that is) and now you've got the upgraded suspension.

Just get some Clazzio Leather Seat Covers with heated seats for around 600 when they do a sale. Really easy to install.

IMG_20190915_115618056_HDR.jpg That's what I did. Clazzios with heated seats, factory looking Toyota switches in the dash loos like it came from Toyota. Added a Bilstein lift, TRD 4runner wheels, tires, pro exhaust, TRD Cai, remote start, pro grill, pro skid plate, homelink mirror and more. I'm at @$38k including the truck, taxes, parts and labor. Sure looks as good as any Pro, limited or Off Road. I got the color I wanted, longbed and saved a lot of money. Didn't want a sunroof, zoned climate control and the JBL sound system. I simply improved on what was already a great truck.

The pro is great if you want a four door and do a lot of off roading. I just can’t stand to beat up a new truck off road so i got the sport and do light off roading.35D9D52D-07CD-41A3-9F69-988C89A9B457.jpg

Not sure where you’re going to be driving your new truck, but I will say heated seats are awesome after a long day fishing, hunting or snowboarding. I didn’t think I’d need them but looking back, I’m sure glad my wife insisted on the new rig having them. Can’t go wrong with it IMO.

Bummer Toyota made it so damn expensive now though

Don't know if this is on your list as well, but the 2020 Tacoma's will have Apple Car Play/Android Auto support in them. If you wanted to wait an while for them to come out.

As other have said as well, it depends what you want to do with your truck, if you are going to off-road I'd look at the Pro or Off-road options with heated seats. Can't beat the factory e locker in the rear. All other models don't come with it, you'd get a LSD at most I believe.

Also, if you are going to do after-market heated seats, don't buy any cheap crap or you might end up like @Stig did with his truck burning down from them.

New Dodge and Ford trucks can run 80 to 90,000. Ugh

8 year loans becoming the norm. Too many people going into crazy debt adding a bunch of gadgets they don't need, driving up demand and prices are soaring.

Love my heated seats. 19 Tacomas are cheap right now, end of month, end of year. You are in the driver seat for bargaining.

A new SR or SR 5 would have been fine with me. They just happened to have the TRD sport loaded for 34,000.
