Is the heated steering wheel on the premium models heated on the sides of the steering wheel only or all around? I noticed on my mother's 2024 4Runner that it's just on the sides.

Either way it's nice to have. I live in Chicago and it get's cold here.

It's all around, but there are certain hot spots where it's warmer, typically on top from what I've experienced.

Mine is hottest on the top half, cooler at the handles and nothing below.

I have the cold weather package on my SR5, and the heated steering wheel is nice now that's chilly up here in the PNW. Mine gets warm on top pretty quickly; a little slower at the 10 and 2 positions, and at the bottom of the wheel (but that spot takes the longest to warm up I've noticed). Barely any heat at the 4 and 8 positions.

Mines all warm except about 4inches on the bottom heats very little and slowly, maybe due to extra padding there?

Full circumstance. Thinner spots heating up more quickly than thicker zones, but all around. Gets really toasty. I usually find myself turning it off after a few minutes if I'm bare hands because it's already plenty warm.
