Does anyone have the heated ones?

I'm thinking about getting them but have a couple questions.

Can you notice that there is a heating pad when you sit on them? Like do they feel different or less comfortable than the normal covers?

Also, has anyone hardwired them in and installed a switch somewhere in the dash for them? Is this hard to do? I dont want wires running all around my truck.

Thanks, yea I saw that post too, in the group buy thread I think. Im just curious if they lower the comfyness or quality of the seat cover in anyway. I'll shoot him a pm and post any reply here for anyone else that is interested in this.

I have been looking into this as well. You know the wifey loves her BMW heated seats, she wants mine to heat her bum as well.

I want to know how they wire up as well. I am guessing the wires should run out the bottom area of the seat and either to the door kick panel or to the center console and then to the dash for a switch. Although i would love to confirm this before ordering.

Tom PM'ed me back with some info on his setup

    How are they for comfort?
I'm thinking about getting them but worried that they might be less comfy to sit on due to the heating unit in them?
Can you tell that its there or is it just like sitting on a normal seat cover?
Also, how do you have them setup for power?
I want to look into hardwiring them and installing an in dash switch so that it's nice and clean with no wires. Did you do anything like this, if so do you have any pictures?

I have the heated seats and cannot feel them either. It is my experience that they warm up fast but after 5-10 min become uncomfotably hot and has to be turned off.

Most seat heaters have more than one heat setting, like a high and a medium setting. Do these have only one heat setting? Do they cut themselves off after a period of time?

    Thanks.

I have the heated Wet Okoles, and they work great... You cannot feel the pads... They only have one setting - High... Like stated before they heat up fast but I usually turn them off after about 10-15 min... Not a big deal since I use them to take the initial chill when leaving for work and the temps are somewhere between -15 and 20...

    Well worth it for me...
