Heater blows cold at idle

    I'm old and assumed.
    Ok, then I'm wrong and you have a electrical problem not vacuum.

    But I cant see how that is affected by RPMs

    An old timey trick, when replacing a thermostat, was to wedge it open with an aspirin to make burping the cooling system easier. Once it was filled and the coolant was flowing the aspirin would dissolve and let the 'stat close.

    Maybe somebody didn't have an aspirin handy so they used a pull tab instead.:rofl:
