I have an 08 Taco V6 4X4 My heater blower used to only operate in the highest setting, today it quit completely. It is -30 Celcius here today and I need a quick fix. Do you recommend getting the new blower motor and resistor or just one?

It's probably just the resistor, you can usually reach under the dash on the pass side, near the floor close to transmission tunnel, and wiggle it around and get it to work...Needs replacing though.

If you pull the connector off of the resistor you'll probably find that the connections are burnt a little. Some people have took pliers and squeezed the prongs to get a little better connection for a temporary fix. A little dielectric grease wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks guys! Working again with a wiggle - I will order one and replace it - looks fairly straight forward.
