So my heater for my 04 Tacoma will not shut off.
I noticed while driving at 60-75mph hot air will be blowing through the vents even when my temp control is on cold and ac is on. When I’m driving around town however, hot air is still slowing moving out of the vents. I can move the air from different vent locations just can’t get the temp down or even the air to shut off when in the off position. The ac is at about 27-33 PSI And the clutch engages on the compressor. So I’m not sure what the problem is here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    This is easy one.....

there is a water valve on your firewall that controls/shuts off the hot water going through the heater coil.....

Its made of plastic that can get crispy with age....or in a lot of cases the control cable has just slipped out right there in front of it....

Alright gents did some digging into the the air mix servomotor. Which is basically your temp control. And it electronically controls the cable that controls your water valve on the fire wall. The motor works when power is supplied to it, but does not work when plugged into the actual harness itself. So I’ve narrowed down problem to the wiring harness that connects the control panel to the servomotor.
