Hello, went to start my truck this morning and noticed my heater doesn't even blow air on any setting. Has anyone else had this problem? I just replaced the resistor and still no fix. but the resistor did look different then the stock one could I have gotten the wrong part?

I have the same problem with my gf.

Aftermarket parts usually look different anyway. Best thing right now is to check fuses (step 1 before replacing parts) swap the fuse too, they can blow and look fine. Step 2 take the blower out and put power to it.

I had a local mechanic come into work and asked for a motor and resistor. I asked him if his fan still works so he could narrow down the problem and save himself time and the customer money. I took his fan, had him hold it and powered it to a battery and boom kicked on like a mule. Resistor was fine too. It was just the fuse but for some reason mechanics these days jump over the obvious "check me first" steps and go right to replacing parts.

The flashlight tap should be the first thing to try

I would get my wife to kick it if she was with me

My 2002 and 2011 trucks both had the blower suddenly stop working

The 2002 just needed removal of crude and leaves

The 2011 had a field mouse family living in it

    Check the easy stuff first

Take cabin air filter out and look to see if there something keeping the fan from spinning
