My 1998 Tacoma won't blow hot air. The blend control valve is jammed. I disconnected the cable to the blending valve and the valve turns freely but no matter what position I put the blend valve in I get cold air.

Heater control valve is super easy to replace. Just clamp the coolant hoses, remove the CTCs, remove cable, and replace. Took me 10 min on my 4runner. Costs around $120 through a dealership for the OEM part.

I replaced mine after replacing my compressor, and I went with the ~$50 part from AutoZone. No problems yet.
