Could use some help here. I have a 2011 tacoma TRD sport 4x4 with only about 20,000 miles. Yesterday I started it up and the only place the heat or ac will blow from is the defrost vents. It gets hot air and cold air but only from the defroster. Also the recirculation switch stopped working as well. Had the same problem with an old F250 but it was a vacuum line, easy fix. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Under warranty I would think, let Toyota figure it out.

It should be under warranty as mentioned, however as far as the failure itself, it could be several things. Electronic HVAC systems default to defrost if there is a failure in the system. There would be a code stored in the HVAC module that will lead to what the problem is.
