Started the Tacoma this morning and turned the defroster on and went inside. Came out and the truck had defrosted the windows and started to heat the truck, but stopped. Still had the heater control lights. Shut the truck off and restarted it and no heater dash lights, no heater blower, no heated seats, but I had heat slowly streaming out of the vents, just can't blow the air. Any ideas?

Start simple: is the air filter clogged. Does the fan revolve?

I'm not too familiar with the 3rd gen trucks.
But I see if the Heater fuse has power or if its blown.
I'll see if I can find a diagram and if the heater dash lights are common.

    Your filter is probably clogged

I'd start checking fuses. A clogged filter isn't going to stop the blower motor from turning on
