Does anyone have or know of an upgraded engine fan clutch the will make the engine roar.

    I'm driving the 6MT Taco.

Baseball or playing cards will make it louder. Remember how they worked on your bike spokes.

I like not hearing engine fans and really like the electric ones that most cars use these days just for that purpose. That said, the Taco fan is quiet for being engine mounted.

If you want to hear it, there is always this:

    :D

We had a friend that said, while at an airshow, that they hated the way prop aircraft sounded. He just wanted to hear the jets.

We all took two steps back away. Haha!

My Flex-a-Lite dual electric fans that I had on my truck previously were loud as hell...they also sucked at keeping the engine cool.

I say to each their own. I can appreciate that you want that sound of rushing air. However, that comes at a cost, in terms of power and mileage. That is HP's being used to turn the fan and generate more air. These tacos need all the HP's they can get to the rear wheels so I would caution you with this mod that you may hate the power loss.

Weld the fan clutch and feel the power loss.

I had an old nissan that felt under powered. Turned out the clutch fan had failed. It literally felt like 50hp increase when I replaced it. I was so surprised how much the fan held back the motor. The fan was ridiculously loud.

An upgraded fan clutch wouldn't be turning the whole time would it though?

Is there something your current fan isn't doing correctly? Are you overheating?

Nothing wrong with my fan except that I think it's too quiet. I was asking for opinions on if I should mod the fan clutch for more engine roar. I edited the title and OP to attract more members to respond.

    Let me explain something man...
Too much air circulation is just as bad as too little air circulation. The heat exchanger and fan are sized for optimal cooling. The velocity developed by the current fan plays a huge part in making sure the temp is correct.
    So you want more noise...

There is only so much noise a CAI and TRD pro exhaust add. I felt like this would be a cool upgrade to attempt. Didn't think it would have negative affects to vehicle performance.

On the 1st and 2nd Gens you got an upgraded Fan with the Tow Package and it had a Pink or Green Paint Mark.

I don't usually wind out the gears so I don't think I would hear it much. I have plenty of stop and go traffic though and I'm sure a louder fan would turn some heads real quick.
