So I came out of my local grocer and I saw a 07' stock tacoma with a guy sitting in it, i walk over and he is on the phone. So I awkwardly lurk around the outside of his truck until he get of the phone. When he gets out he does not speak very good english but with my little bit of spanish and his little bit of english I was able to explain to him that I had a Chrome grille that I would trade him for his stock one. After some awkward moments he decides to follow me home where I had the grille. Took more time to convince him to swap then it did to do the actual swap, but I now have a stock grille to try a different mod on! See Yaaaa! Chromeo!!

Nice! I've been thinking that if I ever ran across one in my color, I'd do the same thing. If you see a Pyrite Mica one anyplace, you know who to call... ;)

I saw a 5-lugger '11 the other day a the bank and thought the same thing, but the grill was chrome. I don't even know if they make 5-luggers w/body matched grille surrounds.

Painting one black is easy. Painting one super white looks to be a tough proposal.

So now this total stranger knows where you live & can come back & steal shit, including his grill back. Not a good idea. Good luck on that! Your next thread may be, My Tacoma is Gone, & you'll wonder why!

Really, this is your advice for me. So this guy is going to break into my garage, then start taking parts off my truck without setting the alarm off and all because I did him a favor, gosh if he doesn't do it I should probably worry about the other 25000 strangers that drive by my house every day.... I guess I'll have take my chance but thanks for your concern

So, let me get this straight. . .

You stalked a random Mexican at a FoodLion, he came home with you, you both swapped something in your "grills"?

    Sounds like a horrible porno.
