I quit last night

Morning calls for baby duty

 

Difficulty has ramped up a bit with the recent changes.

We were less than a minute from extracting last night and we all started crashing (all on PS5). A bit frustrating, but still had fun. There was a LOT going on (smoke, fire, lasers, slap fights, etc.), so it may have just been too much.

The other night I played with my daughter's fiance and his friend group, and they are all on PC. In-game comms did not fully work (I could hear them but they could not hear me), so they invited me to their Discord voice chat. I didn't know I could do that on the PS5, but it worked great. Other than that comms issue, no issues with crossplay.

 

I should reiterate; this isn't crossplay.

I am on PC, and my PC friends are all offline (as well as PS5).

 

Sorry, I wasn't responding to your recent issue, just making a general comment.

At least on PS5, the Friends thing has been a bit messed up since launch. I *think* they are using a distributed database that works on the "eventual consistency" principle. The instance that other clients update may not be the instance your client retrieves from, and they are not synchronized quickly, or the synchronization is just failing. Many times I can't see any friends, but they can see me. Or, I can see them but their status is incorrect. Fortunately we can attempt to join friends through the PS voice chat, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Usually, once we all get connected on one ship everything goes smoothly.

 

Tip: When moving around in mission and you pass the extract position move through it and drop your collected samples so you don’t risk losing them later in a fight. No matter who makes it to the extract they can grab them and get them back safe so the team still gets credit for them.

 

Game is pretty fun I'm on PS5 I turned off cross play after crashes.
I am not a big fan of cross play anyways.
It's been running smooth since then we'll see.

Haven't played Helldivers yet, but I'll hop on and play Forza any time.

Yesterday's games were much more successful; whenever people join, I verbally state that I will be purging all outposts, collecting samples, and finishing all secondary objectives.

Someone usually leaves, the rest stay, and the push for Freedom is successful.
