Man it’s incredible the amount of things you can do to trucks. Look like “and I keep changing my mind” but getting a takeoff to replace my worn out struts and shocks and even getting leaf too that way. this spindle thing has me interested in a bigger lift just for a little fun and looks. The way it keeps the geometry the same for suspension makes me feel really comfortable. Got my check from settlement so I do believe I’m gonna get the 2.5-2.75in spindle lift with another leaf on back with newish takeoff shocks and struts. Any issues with this idea?

I missed this somehow. Yeah the upper and lower have both 140,000 on them so damn maybe I should just fix this while I’m under there...:spending:

Just got back from body shop and paint shop. Quoted me 2,000$ for ceramic coating/wet sand/ paint hood and roof and quarter panel! Does this sound about right? The company does have a good rep, AND I have already spent about 1,200$ fixing things in the last couple months.

I’m assuming all other parts of your truck panels are good? The ceramic coating is for the whole truck right? What I’m weary about is ceramic coating the newly painted parts and prepping for ceramic coating. The paint needs to cure before coating it and what kind of ceramic coating?

That’s right it does need to cure:thumbsup: I’m gonna test them and ask “so when I pick up I’ll have new paint and new ceramic coating?”o_O

Yeah the wet sand compound polish and ceramic is for whole truck.

You won’t regret the ceramic coating. My buddy did mine and after washing it looks like it was just waxed . Things are just easy to come off. Can’t wait to see your truck!

Sorry for the delayed response. This is legit! I will definitely keep an eye on the 3rd gen forums. Didn’t know they parts were inter-changeable!? That’s sweet.

I’m assuming the 3rd gen leafs /shocks are better too
was at the dealer on Friday & noticed the new Tacoma has a 3.5 L v6...
mines a 4.0! Sup with that? I’ll keep the extra displacement pls.

Looks great! The roof on my '05 Tacoma needs painting, and this is inspirational.

The only thing I see that requires immediate attention, and is an urgent safety concern, is that front license plate.

"Only 31 states in the United States require two license plates on your vehicle, but Florida is not one of them," Trooper Steve said. "In Florida, you are only required to have a license plate on the rear of your vehicle."

Found a bumper aftermarket metal for 340 I believe. Should I go with ome886 or 887? 5100s obviously set at 0, but with bumper "140lbs" I would like it to be around 2.5 in the front....trying to stay away from 3in
