    Hi everyone just wanting to introduce myself. After tons of research and lurking on various forums and using truecar (I could rant for a while about what a mistake that was) I wound up here and with a new Tacoma.
    I’m coming from a mighty, 4 speed, 5 cylinder, rattle trap of a Hummer h3. So The NVH and speed concerns of the 3rd gen Tacoma weren’t much of a problem for me. I got it a couple weeks ago now and first thing first was bilstein 6112/5160 and some 265 75 16s I had taken off basically new from the h3 . Very pleased with this suspension compared to the 5100s on the h3. Will throw on an AAL soon to get back more of the factory rake.

    Only concerns so far are when I first start up in the morning and go into reverse it is sort of lurchy and the rpm moves around a bit more than I’d expect. It’s fine if I go right to drive just happens in reverse. Not sure if that’s normal. Also a sort of subtle pulsing vibration/ noise at around 55mph with cruise control on. Anyway I’ll poke around a bit more and try to find out more on my own.

    And using the almighty search feature i have discovered that the lurching in reverse is in fact normal.
