Hello All

I recently purchased a 1996 Tacoma for my son to drive after he gets his license. If he is anything like me he will use and abuse this truck, so I wanted a beater that we can work on together.

We hope to get if off the ground, add some wheels and tires, and repair any mechanical issues we find along the way. I want him to know who cars work, and be able to do basic repairs on his own by the time he gets out of my house. He wants to be an engineer, so I also want him to understand the end user perspective, so hopefully if he designs something, there wont be people saying, "what the h*** were the engineers thinking".

I got on this forum looking for information to troubleshoot an issues. It worked!!! I will post the findings in the appropriate section, but I see myself using this forum a lot.
