well that would depend on what broke...

I don't buy extended warranties as history has shown me that I rarely keep a vehicle more than 2 years. Of course, I'm on year 3 with this truck... I guess I love it so...

GAP coverage is good for that first year though in case of accidents or other terrible incidents. Something I learned when i picked up my taco is that I could cancel the GAP anytime and the remaining balance would be put towards the principal on the loan. After I heard that, I was sold. I had GAP on the vehicle I sold to buy the taco and the dealership sent me a check for the remainder - the other outcome to GAP coverage

Hello, I'm Chaser, and i'm set on getting a tacoma 4x4 V6 access cab. I want a black one, and I was aiming for the TRD package, but it seems to be pretty hard to find for that color. I did find one with the SR5 package, so here's my question:

would the SR5 package be enough if i want to do some beginner-level off-roading? and is it cheaper or more expensive to add the TRD-equivalent parts to the truck later?

The SR5 is a trim package. It has nothing to do with the performance of the truck, just looks (color match bumper, fender flares, some interior differences, etc.).

You could get a base model 4x4 and get heavier leafs, larger tires and different shocks. It would be almost identical to a TRD package minus the e-locker.
