Hello , been reading...

Been reading a lot of post here for the past several weeks.. looking for help but I've managed to find a post where the guy had what I think is same issue I may be having but I'm afraid to ask though the thread never led to any conclusion and i see when people ask questions that have been discussed on other threads get told its been talked about in other threads....but I keep searching just in case it's been talked about before I recently purchased a 2022 trd sport I just can't figure out why the flashing green light says in the manual to take immediately to toyota and that's about it.. and I have yet to find anything about this except that post but I'm sure maybe there is another post as the sport doesn't have a locking rear diff but that's what the green light is for..center diff maybe? It doesn't feel weird driving but the light keeps flashing, it started this morning going into the parking lot at work..didn't come back on when I cranked it at lunch or the drive home... when I took it out of park and released the parking brake to go pick up my son.. damn light started flashing again and won't stop.. it won't stay lit when I try to put it in 4h won't go off when I turn the knob back to 2wd i drove it a bock forward tryingc and maybe 50ft backwards and I need to drive it but the Toyota service dept said to bring it in they would take a look..recommended trying to put it in 4h and back to 2wd and see but it just keeps flashing.. sorry for the long post I'm just stressed and didn't want to think the new to me 13k mile 2 year old truck that seems perfect with all the options and more could already be screwing up the day before I need to take son to mom's down on the cost of SC and I live in Charlotte NC and have to work at 7am 17 miles away from home where I currently am standing ... any thoughts on that light flashing? Anyone know if the topic has been discussed? I know it has I just couldn't find the answer... Is this a common issue? Could it be a threat to my life or just my wallet?? If it goes off in the morning I don't guess toyota can scan and tell me anything I've cranked it multiple times but no change and the flashing green locking rear diff light keeps on blinking .. though I have the sport not the OR or pro, and don't have a locking rear diff... but I do have the pro grill if it matters...

 

Welcome to TW! Truck should still be under warranty, take it to a dealership and let them take care of it.

 

I'm the second owner but the dealership that sold it where it was traded back certified it and sold it to the used car dealership I bought it from...so on paper I'm the 3rd but really the second..if that makes sense.. the oil was changed so with 13k miles is supposed to be covered by toyota 100k mile drive train warranty but I'm not sure it's the drive train...maybe a sensor or the solar storms who knows??? I hope someone does!

 

Factory warranty should be 3 years or 36k miles bumper to bumper regardless of how many owners.

At dealership now unless they determine the lift had anything to do with it it's under until December, 4h worked last week now it won't go in and that light has come on and gone off a few times today.. fingers crossed I guess
