Ok I took a look and on the branch out wire that connects to the back up camera it’s 4 wires White silver black and red. And on the camera connection is red black white blue

 

I took this picture a minute ago

 

Cool, 4 wire pigtail male and female at 6” with white black red and grey for silver. Let me build then I’ll hit you with a DM for the address.

I am not sure where they cut your wires but this worked for me. At least they did not get the tailgate. Hope you get it sorted out.

 

Hey OP, wanna check the other side? I’m curious if the ground shield (silver) is on both sides or just one.

If you want to replace the tailgate harness entirely with a new OEM one, I can try to hunt for just the other side. Or your dealer might have a repair kit for that.

My plan was to just use the connector my 2016 uses. Which looks similar but is a little different and won’t connect to the one you used to have.

 

Actually I think the connectors I plan to use are an exact match. Just OEM is white and mine will be grey both sides. Here is how my truck looks. I suspect yours is the same since you said blue. I’ll use blue then instead of silver.

 

I’m definitely gonna buy a new OEM camera Harness. The main worry is trying to connected it to the main wire

OK, so just one pigtail for the males? Super easy if so, then you buy the tailgate and replace? Kind of a bunch of extra work though.

I think maybe I'll just send both and you can try the tailgate side and see before blowing $50?
