New to the forum but to Tacomas. Just a retired guy from the Northeast who spends a lot of time fishing and hunting and hauling around toys for those endeavors. My Grandkids spend a lot of time with me so the Access cab is not cutting it anymore. I'm about 3 weeks away from getting a 2022 TRD Offroad, 4dr, longbed to replace my 2009 TRD Offroad, access cab longbed that I bought new. Old truck is Barcelona Red, as is the new one coming. Nothing fancy planned for the new vehicle, the old one worked fine for me bone stock. Maybe a ladder rack to haul my canoes and getting rid of the hard tonneau for something tha tworks with a rack.
I'm a bit concerned about the 12" extra wheelbase length but definitely need 4drs and a 5' bed is nothing that I want so it was either longbed or a 4Runner. We'll see how it goes when it arrives, I doubt that I would have any trouble selling the new truck and not losing money or possibly trading it with another dealer if it's not what I want.

    That's practically blasphemous around here.

You clearly don't spend enough time posing at the mall.

But don't despair. There are a few other heretics around here as well.

    Welcome!

Well guys, I probably made someone around my area very happy. My 2022 TRD OR DCLB is in transit and I have decided to keep my 2009 TRD OR with 85K miles. My dealer had no problem returning my deposit because he has a very long waiting list.
I couldn't justify spending $44+K to get an extra 10" of cab space. There was nothing else on the 2022 that's an upgrade to excite me. Maybe next year...

Good for you for making the financially responsible decision! That’s the opposite of every decision I’ve made since I bought my 3rd Gen lol

Sounds like the 09 is still a baby anyway!
