Obviously new member to Tacomaworld. I have gained a bunch of valuable information(big thanks to the various members)from here and finally decided to join the ranks! I did have one question, even though this has probably been beat to death.. Has anyone used Valvoline Synpower 75w-90 in their (actual) limited slip rear end? I have heard horror stories about Mobil 1 synthetic but not the Valvoline synthetic.

Question, and I don’t know how much of a pain in the ass it would be.. but how do I go about accessing the detailed links on the spread sheet? Can you access those? And if so, would you mind sending me the one with access to the links?

It’s somewhere on this forum, maybe someone can send you the link to the exact page but I’m not sure, I just copied the photo from someone else. That spreadsheet photo combined with the TW search function and google and YouTube and you’ll be just fine. Funny enough, I have more luck google searching than I do on the TW search function.
I’ll google, TW 2nd gen brake job or TW 2nd gen oil change, front diff, rear diff, transfer case, suspension work….., and I always find what I’m looking for, step by step tutorials.
YouTube is great too. These guys have so many great 2nd gen tutorial videos I follow for big jobs, here are a few examples.

Oh yeah, I was thinking maybe it would be nice to have all the maintenance stuff in one location. But I know there are lots of tutorials out there. I’ve definitely watched several of those Tacomaholic videos. They helped me big time when getting my trans fluid level corrected and my driveline fluids changed. I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to working on my Tacoma since I’ve only had it for a little over a year. It makes me a little hesitant to work on major jobs because I don’t want to screw anything up.. hence why I was wondering about the links on the maintenance sheet. I basically need things to be as detailed as possible for my own peace of mind. But yes, you are correct, a lot of good information out there.. and that’s why I’m here! Thanks again, much appreciated.

I’m the exact same way, in that before a job I need all my ducks in a row. You can try posting a new thread along with that photo and ask if anyone has the link to the page where the links within the spreadsheet are accessible. I’ve seen it on tW a few times I think but I can’t remember where.
