I did reply to your conversation and am holding those parts for you. Welcome to the club. Now that you own a Tacoma you will only replace it with another Tacoma. I am on my 6th one.

Thanks everyone for all the warm welcomes. I don't have much photos of it at the moment for you, but I'll work on getting more taken around some time next month once the truck is officially legal to drive/registered & becomes my main daily driver. (I've been slowly doing maintenance on it these past few months while I currently sell off some of my other vehicles.) Most of my photos of it currently are just up-close shots of worn stuff & things I've been replacing while documenting maintenance stuff. Here's 1 slightly decent photo I could find of it for now.

Well damn! That's one sweet street truck. Would be an excellent candidate for a Magnuson blower, could rid the world of plenty of tires with that thing:burnrubber:

I saw that and placed the order, thanks for the quick reply. Excited to wait & see the parts, thanks! Man, that's a good bit of Tacos haha. I'm hoping this will be my one-and-done Tacoma that'll last me the next 30+ years. Praying for no accidents. Only time will tell. :drunk:

I thought the same when I bought a new 2016 Sport but, after 5.5 years and 25k miles, it proved to be a problematic truck. I am happy with the 2008 that I have owned 3 years. It only has 87k miles on it. I have no plans of ever selling it. I will say if I ever find a good deal on a 2012+ XRUNNER like yours I would buy it and sell the 2008. I love long bed access cabs and, at 65 with some physical issues, I would much rather have a lower truck like yours to avoid the climbing. I buy 12' long bars of material so I can't live with short bed trucks.

True. It was a pickup. One of the biggest mistakes of my life was selling that 87 truck. Had 86k miles and sold it for $2600. 4 x 4 with a/c, 5 speed and immaculate condition. Had the timing chain guide issue and didn't feel like fixing it. Turned around and paid $5k for the 2000 Prerunner which was an awesome truck too.

man i feel that mistake! i had a 91 pickup 4x4 base model manual everything but had ac at least lmao. mine had the timing chain issue as well but we fixed that me and my dad and i drove it for 6 years? great first truck and miss it every day! sold it for 4500 within 6 hours at 130k miles.
