Man!! don't remind me haha. I'm superduper biased towards superchargers in general. Love superchargers so much. I get so jealous of this other X-Runner owner that lives like a mile away from me & I ALWAYS hear his supercharger whine when he zooms past me almost everyday. I WISH mine came with the blower! I guess it's in my best interest overall though staying naturally aspirated for peak reliability since I'm hoping to squeeze 30 years of ownership out of this truck, but if the price is ever right, I'll probably cave in for the blower. One of the guys working over at Westcott Designs had me heavily-tempted on-the-edge of getting one when they were selling one of their personal Magnuson setup for a RIDICULOUS cheap price few months ago. Didn't bite though because of distance & lack of good tuners in my area. It would be a 40+ hour total road trip there & back to get it since I live so far away from them. I wouldn't mind the trip to be honest. Could always shave a lot of time off the trip too if I just flew out there initially instead and rented a u-Haul for carrying the Magnuson setup on the way back. Still not aware of any good dynos/ tuners in my area currently though. If supercharging, I'd like it dialed in to the "T"!

Can't fault your logic there - and can't go wrong either way: Reliable truck for 30yrs or tire destroying monster! Have a supercharger on my fun car and I know exactly what you mean, the whine is addicting.

I wish you great luck to hopefully come across a good deal on 2012-2015 XRunner. So hard to come by a good deal on them nowadays, (at least located outside of Canada/ Hawaii) or I just personally have terrible luck. After a decade of searching though, I got pretty much like 80% of my boxes checked off for everything I wanted in this XRunner though. I definitely overpaid for it since it needed some love maintenance-wise, but at the end of the day it's always been my dream truck, most of the foundation's good there & it makes me happy for now lol; Also at the time of being in the market shopping around, I was really interested in attempting to get my 1 and only vehicle EVER brand new from a dealer since I've always purchased used vehicles in my life, but Toyota dealers around me & far away were all being crooks marking EXCESSIVELY over MSRP for circuit edition GR Corollas, so it helped seal-the-deal back in the used market on the XRunner. No new vehicles for me. Please don't ever get rid of your 2008! It's pretty funny, to me I'm on the opposite side of your situation. Most of my previous vehicles have always been lowered cars on airbags/coilovers and lacking cargo space. Sucks getting into lowered stuff sometimes, including the XRunner too, at least for me personally. Gotta find that sweet spot which I thought would be like your 2008, but I guess not according to you. :annoyed: Feeling the discomfort in my bad knees & lower back which led me to your seat brackets lol. Hope it helps me out a bit. I feel you on that, short beds can definitely be inconvenient sometimes. I've been in love with this long bed these past few months. Easily one of my favorite features for sure!

Definitely can't go wrong either way. I'd for sure love to take the chances on tire destroying monster haha. I have faith it would be reliable either way, just slightly concerned about the certain Xrunner specific parts honestly, just in case anything were to randomly happen to them. Already see some owners having slight difficulty finding body kit pieces or other small Xrunner related bits. OEM leftover stock seems pretty scarce already currently on X parts. I'm gonna be screwed in 30 years should the truck need anything by then. Whine is SO ADDICTING! I'm used to working on/driving turbocharged German cars for most of my career. Turbo's crazy fast & impressive on some of them for sure, but every now and then I come across something supercharged to mess around with and it just hits me perfectly in my soul EVERY.DAMN.TIME!! Love my friends supercharged Tundra, damn thing was a riot while towing when I got to borrow it for trailering some cars. Can't even imagine personally driving it without the fully loaded car trailer. Insanity. :bananadead:
