Hello from Arkansas!

I bought my FIRST Tacoma a couple of weeks ago, and have been lurking since then.
I figured I ought to say hello to everyone, and say that I look forward to the vast wealth of knowledge(and BS) this Forum has to offer.

This is my first Tacoma, a 2013 DCSB 2.7L Super White PreRunner w/ 17K mi., but not my first Yota.
I also own a 1983 2wd Flatbed Pickup w/ 235K mi.(Currently for sale on Little Rock CL), and a 1994 X-cab DLX 4wd 3.0L Pickup w/ 218K mi.
I think I skipped a decade there. Anyway, I love Toyota Trucks!
My old lady jokingly asked me recently if I was collecting Toyotas, and I told her "Only Toyota Trucks!"

I came to be a first time Tacoma owner because.... the motor on my '94 suffered a Hydro-Lock event last July, which led me to purchase the '83, to get me through the winter. I was saving to do the 3.4 swap to the '94, when my boss(Tacoma owner) told me I ought to just go and buy myself a new one, which I sort of did, with the 2013! I still plan on getting the '94 going, as my Ozark Explorer, but in the meantime, I sure do enjoy my '13 PreRunner!

Nice man, that flat black looks good on the '83 regular cab. What a unique style to that truck, somebody will really enjoy it. I had a '94 also, but i got hit on the freeway and totaled it. The '13 looks great, time for mods! If you haven't already secure your tailgate with a hoseclamp, they are too easy for thieves to take.

tacorgidor, I'm 100% certain the young man who bought the '83, yesterday, will really enjoy it. It would turn heads everywhere I drove it, and was quite the conversation starter!

Since you suggested it, and I had read about it previously here in the forum, I got off my ass, and hose-clamped that tailgate pivot! My first mod!

My future plans for the Tacoma PreRunner are relatively mild.
Since it's a 4 banger and 2wd, I really don't want to do too much to weigh it down, and affect what power and economy it has. Besides being my DD, and family hauler, I will be driving it out in the Ozarks for canoeing, camping, hunting, and exploration.

1)Leveling the truck, and upgrading the suspension on it is my main priority.
I'm considering Bilstein 5100's and OME springs, a full OME setup, or the Icon stage 1 suspension.

2)Removing and replacing the heavy stock steel wheels with aluminum wheels.

I'm keeping those two objectives in my sights as mods of the near future!
