Got my new 2018 Tacoma Sport close to a month ago. An interesting side note is disaster struck on the second day of owning it when i made a trip to Flagstaff during a damn snowstorm. I don't know the town and got caught up in a congested college area where traffic was total mayhem, and of course some college girl slid into the back of my brand new 2 day old 150 miles truck. The tailgate took the impact of the Ford emblem but her bumper bent mine and the tow package.
The silver lining is it started a search for aftermarket bumpers, steel ones. I settled on the FabFours. The repair place took my slightly bent tow package, all the labor the insurance company paid for, and charged me 100 bucks to install it. They did pick it up from the shop i ordered it from that was about 4 miles away. I'm happy with it, they SAID it was some trouble getting on.
Only other things done to the Sport is first thing i did was remove the TRD decals, don't know why anybody leaves them on, and I removed the mud flaps and front valance, and the from Amazon 165 dollar Chinese grill. I will be getting the TRD skidplate for the rocky forest roads. Why did i get the Sport some might ask? Well it was the only access cab 4x4 MANUAL transmission V6 in the state.
I have only owned (from my first at 16 yrs old, 86 truck EFI with a TURBO! on the 4cyl) Toyota with manual transmission (with the exception of a Honda Accord i inherited, which was terrible). I had an access cab 4x4 4cyl 09 that got totaled, then got the 13 model i traded in for this. I have tried the new Tacoma automatics (rental was actually 18 Tacoma SR) and some of the reasons i would never own an automatic are addressed. But i just found myself shifting most the time using the autoshifter thing. Anyway, so I had to have a 4x4 access cab manual V6. Ive had nothing but 4cyl until now. I never hauled a trailer and lived in phoenix, it's a flat city. I'm in the mountains now and need to haul my side x side and dogs...
    Which leads me to...
I'm about ready to order the SnugTop rebel. Waiting on last quote, expect somewhere around 2300 with options including universal rack. I chose SnugTop over ARE and LEER, any thoughts??

    Thanks for the welcomes.

I did consider used, but getting all the options i want and a matching color i figured would be impossible. But you make a good point so i'll take a look, and maybe get lucky.
