Hi all! New member here. Made the move from Firebird Nation as I needed a truck and 4x4 to make my move from flat Florida to the mountains of NC next month. I knew I wanted a Tacoma due to their well-known reliability. Always wanted a 4Runner but didn't really want an SUV because I do a lot of landscaping and need a truck to haul rocks, dirt, lumber etc. Something BTW that my Firebird was pretty good at doing although dirt was messy. I once even hauled a small deep-freeze in her LOL. Hated to give her up as she loved and hugged those mountain roads, but she had an electrical gremlin I was tired of chasing around, so after 10 years and 89K miles I added to her, it was time to let her go to another loving owner.

I searched and searched Tacomas for something other than white, black, grey or red (no offense, just like to be different) and finally found the Blazing Blue in a 2017. What a beauty. I am so happy with it and ready to drive it north. I just posted in the uncomfortable head restraint thread, it is my only major complaint. Hoping for some suggestions there. I am going to go out and practice with the 4x4 part this week so I can get used to the feel. My only other complaint is minor and that is the lack of valuable information on the digital display behind the steering wheel.

Happy to be part of TW as Firebird Nation was an invaluable resource for many years, I'm sure TW will be also!

Welcome to TW. When I bought my 2008 Tacoma, was on the fence between it and a FJ Cruiser. Having a pickup bed won the contest...lol

I'll probably always have a pickup, because sometimes you need to transport a load of mulch, a new TV, bicycles, kayak, etc. or even a bunch of limbs for a trip to the dump.
