    HI,
this is my first time using a forum, so bear with me. I have been a happy 4runner owner for several years but I needed more power for towing my trailer, and the 3.0 V6 just wasn't cutting it, sooo....I just became the proud owner of 2008 Tacoma TRD Off-Road V6 MT crew cab. I just got it over the weekend and I'm LOVING it so far :D
I just had a Pioneer FH-P8000BT double din CD receiver w/ bluetooth installed with XM tuner. Pretty pleased with the output of the factory speakers so I think I'm going to hold off on the amp and sub for now.
I am planning a cross country trip very soon with my truck pulling an enclosed 6x10 trailer with my 2 motorcycles in it. I will be driving from NC to Portland, OR.
I am open to any advice or suggestions concerning the truck or the trip.
    Cheers,

    Jessica

Front skid plate. Hood protector, and wade in-channel guards. K&N CAI. Weathertech floormats, and door scuff guards. Tri-fold soft tonneau cover.
Welcome to TW. As for tips, my buddy and I did the trip from Fort Bragg to there pretty much. 6700 miles in 2 weeks. But we left the truck at home, and rode the bikes. Water, and snacks.

    Hi!

And don't call it a crew cab.
That's one of those other crappy trucks.

    Thanks for the welcomes
my bad it is a "double cab" you are right.
I'm taking the bikes out to Oregon to ride for the summer while my boyfriend is there on work assignment. I do have a spare tire for the trailer - and the trailer is pretty much brand new itself. single axel, but I'm talking about a couple of Triumphs, not big fat harley's so less than 850 lbs of bike altogether.

that sounds like a fun trip. i was just asking about the trailer b/c i have had issues pulling a boat to the keys 2 out of the 4 times we went. you should take your time going out there and sight see on the way. you could take a northern route one way and a southern route on the way back, or vice versa. that is what i would do, to see diffrent things.

Welcome from Fuquay-Varina!. Enjoy the trip... nothing quite like a cross-country in a new truck hauling toys to have some fun :)
