Hello all, new Taco owner based out of VA but I travel a ton for work, hence the title. Just wanted to introduce myself, and my 2017 TRD OR DCSB in White.

Back story; this isn't my first truck, I previously had a 2010 Silverado a couple of years ago. It is not even my first car, however it is my first brand new car. I have nearly 30-40 cars, honestly I have lost track. Needless to say I am pretty stoked that my first new vehicle is a Taco. I have always wanted one, since I was younger, back when they were just Toyota Pickups and after driving around a Hilux while in another country.

I was planning on picking up this truck at the end of the year, when I had met some personal goals for the year. Unfortunately, while driving to a doctors appointment in my BMW ZHP , I was re-ended and sandwiched by another vehicle. Which pushed up my timeline of purchasing the Taco. I first was trying to buy a TRD pro as I don't have time do a lot of mods because of my job, so I just wanted to buy the "best" and tweak it as I went. However after a very, very bad experience with a dealership, I walked away from a TRD Pro and decided to get the OR.

Anyway, here she is, along with details.

    Purchase Details:
    • Purchased: 8.7.2017
    • Odometer at purchase: 7 miles (4 were added by me during test drive)
    • Sticker Price: $40,289.00 + tax | tags | fees
    • OTD: $37,750 w/ 8 year 75K warranty [platinum extended warranty], I think I did "o.k." on the price, not sure

    Vehicle Details:
    • Year: 2017
    • Model: Tacoma
    • Trim: TRD Off-Road 7544 (or whatever that code is)
    • Current ODO: 75 miles
    • Options: Advanced Technology Package, TRD Pro Grill, All weather Mats
    • Confirmed latest transmission software [made the dealer show me]

    Modifications [So Far]:
    • Thinkware f770 front and rear Dash Cameras, temporarily mounted, waiting on the Celllink B battery before hardwiring them and running the cables properly, I will have to remount the cameras then too

    Parts On Order:
    • ICI Magnum RT side steps; I don't do much "real" off-roading so opted not to get real sliders
    • Fold-a-cover Elite 4 Tonneau cover
    • Weather Tech No Drill Mud Flaps
    • TRD pro Exhaust Tip
    • Clazzio All black leather Seat Covers

Closing: Just wanted to say Hi, I have been doing some research and you might see popping in and out of threads asking dumb questions, so I apologize in advance. I will also make a proper build thread over in the 3rd Gen build thread.

Thanks for taking the time to read,

    -Burnall4
