I had a 1985 Toyota with the straight front axle and 35's that I never should have sold. Now I have been looking around the forums for info on upgrades to my 2015 off road. Lots of people seem to like the "Bilstein 5100" lift method for the front. I like that they are adjustable. I wont be beating the hell out of this one like I did the 85' model because its my daily driver (and cost a lot more) but I am looking for a little more height and style. Good Info here glad to join.Tacoma.jpg

    Welcome!

Bilstein shocks with Toytech springs and a 3 leaf pack provides a nice lift and a great ride on/off road.

Welcome fellow Virginian! I have the OME 885 with the 5100's set at 0" w a Deaver AAL in the back. Really nice ride before I threw E load 33's on it. Still a nice ride though and not a whole lot more than the 5100's by themselves. Check out Headstrong OffRoad for the best deals and incredible customer service.

Couple loads of firewood in the bed later.....it's sitting just about level when it's empty. Now, since I have read up on the forum a little, I am noticing the driver's side lower too. haven't put a tape on it to see how much. Upgraded leaf spring are for sure.

Thanks to the welcomes from everyone.

5100's are ordered for the front, diff drop kit too.

Looking into Toytech vs OME vs Stock Springs with these. Using Stock for now.

TT 3 leaf pack 2.5", TT Rear Boss Shocks, 3 degree steel axle shim set and carrier bearing drop kit ordered for the back. Used the coupon code from this site for the Toytec order. Axle shims are from Wheelers.

This is a result of what I read mostly here at Tacoma World for a decent lift without spending a ton.....to get started anyways.
