Hey everyone. Just joined the ranks a few weeks ago, picking up an '09 DCSB. Spent the past year overseas and when I had the chance did some quality lurking on the site in anticipation of getting my first Taco, so thanks for all the great information.

First thing I did was bring it in to the dealer for tune-up, necessary belts/fluids replaced, and frame/rear leafs checked. Leafs were replaced that day and they said frame passed inspection so just needed to be treated/sprayed. Brought it in yesterday and after de-scaling they said it failed, so it's a new frame for me! 8-12 weeks is what they told me to get the new frame so I'll be in a loaner for a while.

Coincidentally on my way down yesterday I got a CEL and had them check it out. They found an exhaust leak which I suspected due to noise (flange between cats was gone from what I understand) but also told me catalytic converter needs to be replaced to the tune of $1500. I've done some research in the threads here, and I'm a little skeptical. The truck does have 180k on it, but seems like it could also be a sensor throwing the code. Any advice as to whether there's any value in having them do the work while the truck is apart for the frame, or would I be better off taking it into one of my local guys to really check it out and make a decision after I get it back?

Thanks and excited to be here, already learning a ton!
