Hello Beatriz, welcome to the forum! Being that your truck is a "limited" it might be a challenge to drop. is yours a 4x4? Generally, people lower the 5-lug, 2wd models. Same body, different chassis.

    Hello Nolan,
    Yes , is mine.
I thought that I just need different size of Rims and Wheels .
My Truck is beautiful, however due to its high 4" higher it winds as I drive over 90 Kls per hour.
    What should I do.
I know nothing about this and don't want to take advantage of I guess

Is the truck stock, or does it have an aftermarket lift?

And, thinking out the box, have you considered putting retracting steps on it (look at Amp Powersteps)?

Smaller wheels/tires would absolutely be a step in the right direction. Just have to make sure you dont go TOO SMALL or you could run into fitment issues. The other option of course, would be modifying/upgrading your suspension, or even adding a step to make it a bit easier to climb in.

better side steps? something that helps ease of access maybe something extra grab handles to get in and out?

Smaller wheels and smaller tire diameters will cause an offset with speedometer. Same issue when people go with a larger that stock tire diameter. She would need to get a speedo calibrator. It'll also look really weird, but that's personal preference.

I second the motion for bed steps if you don't already have a set. You might be able to lower the front somewhat, but the rears use leafsprings and have bump stops. Maybe look into an airbag suspension? Those are adjustable, but I don't know much about them. I do know they're quite expensive and a complicated install.

SOS Performance makes a lowering kit for prerunners . Would also recomend getting shorter bump stops for front

I bought a 5-lug in part to have a lower step-in and load-in height as well as to keep the roof rack within reach. It has spring-under rear leafs in addition to the small 215/70R/15 tires so it’s considerably lower than any of the 6-lug models while still being stock. You can put smaller wheels/tires on yours but it will look a bit odd if the suspension isn’t lowered some to keep the wheels in the wells. The other difference is the differential is geared for the size wheels the truck is sold with which why so many regear their trucks when they get bigger tires. You will find yourself shifting sooner in every gear and not going as fast at the same rpm even though you can accelerate a bit quicker. It might tend to spin the tires if you have a heavy foot or the traction is suspect.
Yes, you can put smaller wheels on it but there will be noticeable consequences you should be aware of even if you’re okay with them.

It sounds like your truck is modified. We'd need to know what modifications were done to help. Start off with a picture of the entire truck from the side, then pictures of the front suspension and rear suspension. Picture of the front shock/coilover to be a little more specific, and the rear shock and leaf springs, including where the leaf springs touch the axle, that way we can see if there is a lift block, or taller leaf springs. This would be a good start for folks to give you better answers.

    Oh yeah, and tire size.
