Hello new here owner of a 2014 reg cab 2.7 taco

Have a 2.7 auto regular cab 2014 taco w 55000 on it. Toyota dealer paid to have aftermarket cruise control installed when I bought it new. At 51000 I had Transmission flushed, fluid filter changed, and an oil cooler installed. In Jan the bank no longer owned it. Been a good truck with two problems, first battery died two weeks after I bought it, bad cell. and in july this year the AC compressor seized. $700 to replace and install. My own mechanic, don't trust the dealership after I was told my brake pads were shot and then they passed inspections for three more years. I take my truck to an independent oil change place every 5000 miles. They don't care if I look under the truck. Some of the black Toyota applied undercoat is now gone very little rust. Thinking about getting some spray Rustoleum undercoat to touch it up. Also notice some surface rust on the front shock towers. Have heard all sorts of stories about undercoating good and bad. You guys take on that? Ps I live in upstate NY 6 miles from Canada...
