Headlights, taillights, touchscreen head unit, grille, rims, more to come.
Hey everyone, this is pretty much my first fourm I have joined rather than just reading through for info. My family has always been Toyota my dad was a mechanic for Toyota for about 20 years. My first was a 1988 Toyota pickup. We swapped the 22r for a 22re and switched it from auto to manual, put seats out of a 91 accord in it and some nice 8.5" wide cragers on it. I loved that truck soo much and ended up going through 2 engines ("race truck lol") before I decided to let the truck go. 10+years later and decided to go again soo ended up getting a

    2006 BASE TACOMA reg cab.
    Manual
1 owner (62yr old at purchase.)
    133,330 mi
All records for regular oil change every 5000 mi.
    $6200

Anyways so stoked to have this thing and to find out that most parts are pretty cheap. Then I found the brick wall which is lowering...smh... so side tracked on that I decided to handle some budget projects until I decided what to do about the suspension situation. What I've done so far.

Replaced the head unit with a updated touchscreen unit with a rear camera.

Painted the faded headlights & tail lights, buffed the yellowed parts back clear.

    Replaced the sunbaked front grille.

Replaced the stock 15" rims with 17" rims off a 2006 Acura TSX.

I still want to do a lot to this truck basically making it a "tuner truck". I have yet to see anyone around this area doing anything like this and I want to bring people along for the ride as well as get some input from people in the TW community.
