    Hi all,

I am new to the forum and to Tacoma ownership.

I’ve owned primarily Subarus in the past, and they’ve either imploded at 300k or been totaled in accidents. My first Subaru was “Dirty Dan” because he was my trail car. Next was “Dusty Dan” as my wife hated how actually dirty the predecessor got…. Which brings me now to “Steely Dan”! My 98 Tacoma, regular cab 2.7L in the (cool steel) color.

I am very excited to own one of these. My primary initiative is to have an adventure rig to sleep in at trailheads/ski trails/the beach/ etc… and a truck to support dump runs/ moving equipment for personal projects.

I’ve done a few small mods already. Replaced the shifter boot with carpet, built some furniture for the back, and changed the Steelies for 2020 sr5 takeoff aluminum wheels. Also deep cleaned the seats/carpet! Gross

I’m also looking to switch from an extended cab specific canopy to a regular cab one. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Look forward to discussing with you all in the future!
    -Andrew
