The first vehicle I operated was a 1981 Toyota pickup, my Dad let me drive it for a few years (until I could afford my own ride). It was a bare bones 4cyl MT.
Fast forward 20 years or more, I have an amazing opportunity to acquire a 3rd gen Tacoma (2017 SR 4x4 MT 4cyl utility package).
I have joined the site to learn more about these trucks before purchasing.

    hello internet

This truck will be a commuter and “household” truck. Household meaning…typical suburban America duties.
I have 4 kids, so as far as the commuter part it will be just me or me plus a carpool buddy at work.
    I currently drive a 2007 Audi A3, and although it’s fun, I think I’m done with it.

So I guess I’m just here to learn about common problems and longevity topics. Also styling ideas and whatnot.

Well you can go wrong with what you are looking at other than the fact that it’s only a 4 cylinder that would be my only issue with it
