2015 Black Tacoma TRD Off Road
My wife and I have longed for a Tacoma for years. I currently drive an 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and she drove a 98 Ford Taurus. After a health scare and a couple of birthdays we both had that moment when you realize there are not as many years ahead as there are behind. We are also recent empty nesters so all goals and conversations don't involved the children. We now have time to talk to each other and rediscover this person we have been living with for 30+ years. We quickly learned that we each wanted outdoor adventure. We want to camp, hike, kayak, and trail ride. We started car camping at state parks, riding forest service roads, hiking, and kayaking. The problem was that my Jeep TJ was too small and under powered to carry us and our gear. So late last year we sold the Taurus and purchased a brand new black 2015 Tacoma TRD Off Road edition. Within a week we were at our favorite campground riding forest service roads and loving the power, space, and comfort of our new ride. Our modification plans include an ARB front bumper, a winch, a soft top bed cover, a custom built bed rack over the soft top to carry kayaks, sliders, additional lighting, and a fridge.

We have enjoyed looking at others build threads and will soon start our own as we share our Tacoma adventures.
