    Welcome.

Word of caution on the whole 'overlanding' thing. You can spend a pile o bucks on stuff you don't really need. Many 'overlanders' aren't too much more than car camping. But their rig looks awesome at the mall.

Your truck is pretty capable right out of the box. Depending on your terrain, an upgrade of tires, some basic recovery and safety gear may get you 80% of what you need.

So the thought is use it as is, then modify items you find need functional improvement to get you in an out safely.

    Mostly enjoy the process!

Thanks man. I am an arborist, do a lot of tree climbing and end up going through some pretty tough terrain. I often camp out near work because of distance. I get what you mean by the expensive mall crawlers, lol I guess I'm just trying to set my truck up to be a work/ camp rig and it looks like some of the overland set ups offer good places to mount tools like chainsaws etc. Definitely getting a diamond back cover lol
