I appreciate the welcome from you all!! My 17 Tacoma is stock at this point and I have been researching lift kits. There is ALOT of stuff out there. I am one for quality, but have a budget to adhere to. I have $5k to spend for lift, tires and rims. I can do the work myself. I am going for looks as well as performance. I get deep off road in the mid PA mountains about 4 times a year. So, I am looking for advise. I am aware of most of the details that I may encounter, by researching others experience; diff drop spacers, rear axle shims, upper control arm replacement, spindle needle bearing upgrade. I wanted to go 3", because I do plan on front and rear steel bumpers with a winch in front, so it should settle about an inch, but the kits I am looking at get me between 2-2.75". I have narrowed it down to3, but am open to suggestions if I missed a candidate; OME - TAK16, Toy-Tech -BOSSTAC2016ALM, and Icon - K53002 Stage 2. I like the adjustability of the front coil overs in the Toytech and Icon kits, plus they offer more lift than the OME. OK, so what do you think?

With the lift, metal bumpers and wheels you should consider regearing for best performance.

Yes, I have looked into re-gearing also, but have to go one step at a time. I will read thru the forums related to my build for my answers. Thanks!!
