I'm looking for some expertise in what I should do w.my '98 2.7L 4wd tacoma. It has 385K on the chassis & drive train but the engine was R&R'd a few yrs back & now it needs a proper upgrade. Considering a JDM engine & transmission, not too interested in rebuilding but would like to freshen the vehicle up, nicer suspension other upgrades, I currently use the truck for work & hunting, It's great in the woods & nice to work out of but is getting tired & well heck, new trucks are really too expensive & these older trucks are just Great trucks.

So, I'm open to suggestions & TIA
