So although I was pleasantly surprised at how well my 2012 Taco held all that wet snow you see in my avatar I still want and will eventually benefit from the Hellwig 550 helpers.

So I have 4 leafs/leaves. I'm thinking my truck may have the TSB since I don't have 3, not sure though. Toyota doesn't show history of the TSB being performed on my truck btw. Did some tacoma's roll fresh out of the oven with 4 and some 3?

Question is... why do I have two retainer brackets on each side? You see the image below, 1 ret bracket and one plastic button, I have two of each front and back. Just not sure If ill be able to squeeze these things in without rubbing on one of the many brackets, buttons etc. I have going on.

Maybe the previous owner installed an add a leaf?

They'll work, you just have to play with positioning them. I had some on my reg cab but ditched them after scoring a 4 leaf oem pack. They did make a bit of difference but not much that I could really tell.

Good thinking on the prev owner possibly installing an AAL.

Got me thinking now if should hang on to my 60 bucks and wait and see how my 4 leaf truck fairs on the next camping trip...hmmmm?

I am going to up the tires from the 245 grandtreks to some 265 hankooks and 5100's all around, $60 is a drop in a bucket compared to that thousand dollar bill! Anyway, the plan is to level by putting the 5100's at the first notch. When towing or hauling I didnt want to be nose high which is the main reason for wanting the helpers. Should have mentioned that first.

I didn't get more than 1/4" if that much and that is on reg cab. Wouldn't expect any lift from them, only reinforcement & a bit of axle wrap help.
