Looking for a new full-face helmet.

    Any suggestions?

    What does everyone else wear?

Mainly just cruising around town and commuting. $300 is about the most I want to pay.

I have an Icon Variant, that I use on my dual sport. Comfortable. Good airflow. Fits my head shape, and that's the key. Get to a motorcycle shop, or shops, and try on as many different makes and styles as you can. They are made for all different shapes and sizes, so it's important, more important than price in my unqualified opinion, that you get one that is comfortable and fits your head shape and size. Even the most expensive shoei won't save your brain pan if it doesn't fit your head properly.

I like my LS2 Stream. Good venting, pin lock visors, drop down sunvisor, I paid 120ish. It can be a tiny bit noisy but it's really not that bad.

Find a store that sells a bunch, leave your pride at home. Try one on, off it seems ok, leave it on. Walk around the store a while. Look at everything they have. Twice. 30-45 minutes later, does it still feel good?

Different brands have different shapes and some will fit your head better than others. This is exactly what I did.

Good advice on trying several on to see how they fit.

I went to my local Cycle Gear store and tried on a bunch of them, and also had some conversations with the staff. They helped me fit a few of them and gave me good advice.
In the end, I chose a Shoei GT Air II because it fit me like it was custom made for my head. I can wear it for hours and forget it's even there, plus the quality and fit-and-finish are outstanding.

Shoei makes great helmets. My wife always liked shark and bell, until I talked her into a Shoei Air. About 6 months later she was glad I spent the extra as it is so worth it.

Bell MX9 Adventure MIPS was my cheaper go to helmet until I found a good sale on a Schuberth E1. The Scorpion AT950 is supposed to be very good for the money if you want a modular.

your opinion should be discounted. I'd say they are great if they gave me free stuff too.

    paid opinions are worthless

its not that serious - I have other helmets from other brands - they don't pay my salary or anything they just hooked up some gear to be nice and I don't HAVE to wear it...but out of my 8 helmets its the go-to because its the lightest/most comforable/safest for dual sport stuff where you want some ventilation.

check out revzilla.com they have entire section with blemished and or missing original box helmets that are offered with huge discounts, they have numerous msrp of 500-1000$ helmets listed with 50-75% off original listed price

if that isn't your cup of tea they also have hundreds of full priced items

I picked up an icon alliance at full price and IMHO it is a great budget helmet

for a real tight budget Icon or HJC seem to be good value, Bell is also often overlooked these days but prob the cheapest helmet with the highest rating, I have not found a better priced snell rated anything than bell

for a few more dollars Shoei or Arai

    What kinda motorcycle?
Keep in mind your riding position...upright vs bent over....will determine the helmet due to aerodynamics.

I tried on a Shoei and it wasn’t all that comfortable for me. Tried on an Arai XD4 and it fit like a glove. Pricey but it protects the flaky processor in my noggin so it, to me was worth the cost.
