So I'm trying to change the shift ball on my 08 6 speed truck. Every time I try to spin the ball, the entire shift shaft spins... Any ideas?!?

    Yep.
Grab the shaft with some channel locks and hold it. Wrap a rag around the shaft or tape the ends of the channel locks.

    Lots baby!
If the whole shaft spins, the internal bushings are probably worn.
