Hey all, need some help. Squirrels made a nest near my brake reservoir and chewed the wires coming out of it. Also chewed the blue/white wires that are held down at the bottom of that section. Could someone help me identify where these go and what they do? Truck runs and brakes work, although the trac/brake/abs light are on (they have been on prior due to a speed sensor that needs replacing. What is that harness off of the reservoir and the blue/white tacked to the bottom? Thank you!

Thanks for the support guys. I got a job with a work truck so dont drive as often as I used to. I think the harness in the brake reservoir is the skid control harness? Anyone know what the blue and white wire is?

Those don't work. He needs to go to the animal shelter and adopt a kitten. Then have the cat live under the hood. That's the only thing I can think of to make sure that the squirrels don't come back.

Unfortunately i don't have a scanner and I had the 3 brake lights on prior to this, due to a wheel speed sensor and bearing that needs to be changed. You know the harness that comes off of the brake fluid reservoir? Is that skid control? Would anyone mind popping their hood and seeing where the blue and white wires run to?

The sensor in the master cylinder is the brake fluid level sensor. It turns the light on when the fluid is low. The wires are green and white/black. They go from the sensor down to the plastic clip on the apron and then up to the harness at the point where the 2 large bundles fork. I'm guesing that the blue wire you mention is just 1 of the wires in the bundle that are just passing by on their way from A to B. You need to cut the harness open anyway to attach the green and white/black wires.

Would be nice to get that part of the harness from your local wrecking yard, but many wrecking yards say, "Oh, no! You can't cut the harness! We might get an opportunity to sell a complete harness." But then they'll end up crushing the vehicle with the harness in it.
