Just put 31"s on my 2008 Tacoma 2.7L with a 3 " lift. Had to buy wheel spacers to clear the calipers. I found out after the lift was installed with the tires that the truck vibrates like crazy, which isn't a big deal but it veers to the right ALOT. I can be at a stop sign and let off the gas a little and the steering wheel turns 180 degrees to the right while the tires are straight. My dad thinks its because of a loose A-arm or Ball Joint. Any suggestion or help would be great.

    OP,

You need to get the nose up, remove the spacers and recheck, while you are underneath do the pry and shake tests look for anything moving more than a couple of mm.

Since it started after the “modification” remove all of that and test again...

First rule of working on modified vehicles, remove/disconnect mods then diagnose. (If possible)

I am having the exact same problem. I've tried 8 things to fox it but nothing has worked. Some of them actually helped but it still does it.

I’ve narrowed it down to maybe calipers or struts. If a caliper wasn’t gripping right would that cause the pull to the right. If the right one is grabbing and the left one isn’t. Or could have a bad right strut? I’m still stumped on this one!

Does it only veer to the right when you hit the breaks?

Yes. It drifts right a little driving straight but that’s do to the tires. But it’s the worst when I hit the brakes

Sounds like an alignment problem to me. If it still drifts to the when driving. Plus the vibration might be analignment problem

I’ve had the alignment done three times. And it still did it after every alignment. I’m baffled on what it would be.

Def check alignment but if its pulling hard when breaking you could have a seized piston in your calipers. this can cause the truck to shift on way or the other depending on which side. Old calipers or added new ones recently? I rebuilt a set not that long ago after I had a similar issue. Dust seals were shot and at least one piston was not moving well.

Mine drifts to the right all the time no matter if I break or not. It also vibrates all the time. But I have the alignment done every week since this problem has occurred.

with the alignment, they will set it to naturally be off a little on one side just to compensate for road crown, I would try and get my tires balanced

I had similar issue. One of the front calipers was always dragging. I had to tighten up the adjustment nut on the master cylinder pushrod a teeny bit to get it to stop
