    actually if you look closely this is not a Drop bracket lift in this picture. that would prob be just a spacer lift. you can make a drop bracket lift just a capable at a solid mid travel lift. just depends on the way you do it. for instance. to make your drop bracket just as good as a 3 inch get a good set of coilovers, and a good set of leaf packs. get rid of spacers and blocks. me myself still have more ground clearence of any 3 inch lift.:crapstorm: but i also have 8 inches of lift so im about 3 inches taller at the drop bracket than a 3 inch.

    i gained 2" of clearance when i drop camburg for RCD.
    monkeys truck is far beyond a lift kit

    i am just making a point that spacers are not the way to go in any way.

    not really. The only custom on his truck is the extended Cv joints and bigger fenders.

    those are stock shocks too so its not suprising it broke like that.
    to the guys that actually utilize the LT kits i agree that you cant beat them but to the everyday redneck with a lift its pointless to put that kinda money into a 3" lift.
    push through some mud and hit the mall...
    in some ways the drop bracket lifts are better and in some ways they are worse it just depends on the use...

    dude he has a full LT kit, he has 35" tires where you have 34" tires.
    if he had stock flares i know from center hub to bottom flare you would have at least 2 1/2" but you can measure that because he has glass flares

    Am I the only one to notice it's always the same couple of guys hating on the drop bracket lifts ? I normally steer clear of these threads but it's been a bit ridiculous as of late.

    I've had zero issues with my drop bracket kit...To suggest a LT kit to someone that just wants to lift their truck is silly. Its like trying to sell a Taxi driver a Ferrari when they only need a crown vic.

    For daily driving scenarios with some weekend trails you can't beat a DB kit unless you are happy with a 3" lift.

    he asked about 6" i would reccomend the RCD 4.5 or procomp stage II 6"

    Isn't it great to know that the first person in this thread who brought into conversation and suggested a LT kit has a DB lift on his own truck?

    And...I originally suggested a mid travel setup over a DB..but who cares about that. I also suggested for the ultimate setup is having LT..who can argue with that :notsure:

    My recommendations if I were to go with another 6" drop bracket kit would be to order the stage one, trash the spacers and get some Icon/Fox/kings extended travel coil overs built for a 6" DB set up. There are better options for coil overs/shocks then the Procomp/Fabtech options for the same money.

    That's like going into a thread for someone asking about a cold air induction and saying you know what's the ultimate set up ? Forced induction, like ME! Lol. Apple's to pumpkins and completely off topic.

    I agree, if I could do it all over again I'd go mid travel, but that's only because I'd like to go a different direction then I originally planned....either way if someone wants a 6" you can try to educate and give them a similar option to reach their goal and let them make their own decision instead of spread propaganda bashing bs
