Alright, I had a small fire under the hood a few weeks ago and have been having some electrical gremlins ever since.

I wheeled it Sat and lost power after meeting my buddies on the trail. After 30 min of probing with a test light it led us back to and dirty battery terminal and all was well and wheeled all day. Sunday I got it off the trailer to spray all the mud off, moved it around multiple times, and parked it in the garage. Ran fine.

Yesterday I went to take it to the store and it turns over strong but will not fire. I pulled a plug wire and I don't have spark, turned it over for a good 30-45 sec and didn't smell gas in the exhaust, all fuses are good (Had a gremlin causing EFI fuse and AM1 to blow), my electric fan (normally comes on with key in second position) is not coming on, and I do not hear anything from the fuel pump when the key is turned. This leads me to think there's a broader issue at hand since I wouldn't randomly lose fire and fuel at the same time. I do not have an obd2 reader but I ordered a cheap bluetooth one that can read/clear codes that will be here Thursday.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You shouldn't hear from the fuel pump when the key is turned without the engine running. Toyotas run the fuel pump when cranking is detected. Not sure why. Sounds like there still may be a short in that harness that caught fire. Any chance that when it melted one of the wires shorted and melted its casing off further down than you can see, had a buddies electric fan wiring short (cause he didn't wait for me to help him wire it) out and the wire shedded its casing real fast. I'd start doing continuity/resistance tests to determine if these wires are open to ground somewheres.

As far as the melted harness goes a buddy of mine helped me cut out the burned wires and solder in new wire re-routing that part of the harness away from the turbo. Components we cut and spliced were MAF, igniter, IAT, and something that had a relay looking thing plugged into it. Some of the loom going to the distributor, a/c compressor, thermostat, and oil pressure sensor was damaged but I stripped it down and the wires themselves were in good shape so I taped them back up and re-loomed them. Like I said, I've wheeled after we made the repairs to the harness and it worked as normal. Washed it and parked it overnight and now it wont start.
