    Hey all!

I need to add trailer lighting to my gen 3 and having a bit of a hard time figuring out what to get from all the options. I don't tow often and rarely is it above 1500 lbs so I think I don't need trailer braking, just the flat 4. I've seen some models that just attach to the rear lights and other models that attach to the rear lights and have dedicated power from the battery. Is there a difference between those two setups? Is one better than the other? If anyone has added wiring to their truck and could point me in the right direction that would be great!
