You have something bent my friend. From the looks of the pictures. Both tie rod ends are adjusted in. Moving the steering shafts will not fix this problem. If one was adjusted out and the other in yes it would but not the problem you have though.

Frame is not bent. And no they hit me and drove off. They really didnt hit me hard. It honestly felt like hitting a curb at 5-7 MPH. 35in tire absorbed everything.

I went to TireWorks, which is a good shop. They are the only shop that was willing to put it up take me out let me look while he adjusts all the camber caster and toe trying to get it to work. They are the only shop that was willing to put 2-3 hours trying to adjust is right.

Both my tie rod ends are all the way IN. How is this possible. I need longer ones? Or ones with more thread on them?

My tie rods are BOTH 100% IN and truck is still not driving straight. Frame is not bent anywhere. Anyone ever had issues where you have NO THREADS left to take tie rods further in?

I haven't fixed it. Not sure what the OP did to fix his issue. I'm hoping someone has had this happen to them and shed some light on what my options are. I need Tie rods that have more thread on them.

I'd say have shop start from scratch...........center the oem adjusters and then get toe close then adjust caster/camber then come back to dial in toe. Questions tho........Do you have oem UCAs or aftermarket that provide for more caster/camber adjustment? If your UCAs have caster/camber adjustability then I'd say center oem adjusters, get the UCA adjustments as close as possible & then use oem adjusters to dial in final settings. Center things as much as possible for oem adjusters and tie rod-ends then center your steering wheel last.

That is EXACTLY what we did. We undid everything, and I even spent 100 bucks get new camber and caster kits from MOOG that are greasable and it still wouldn't allign due to the toe not having enough thread. They have almost all the numbers where they need to be but they need another 2 to 3 turns on the tie rods to make the toe lie up. We had it on the rack for a solid 2-3 hours trying to get it to work.

Exactly what we did, but when we center my steering wheel straight it turns the tires to the right and I try and go to the tie rod to take the toe back inward and I run out of thread on the tie rod. I need another 2-3 turns on the tie rod.

The only weird thing is both Tie rods are completely maxed out INWARD. Its not like one is clear out and the other is in, they are BOTH in. I dont know what is going wrong.

    you. have. something. bent.

6in drop bracket lift, and those long ass spindles are prime canidates for bending shit. It might not look it but it doesn't take much.

So how do I know if I bent the spindles, the tie rod ends, the tie rod itself, the lower control arm, etc. Can someone tell just by looking?

IF I were to buy longer tie rods and the truck aligned correctly, even with something bent, would I be ok to drive the truck and not ruin something?

don't turn the wheel at this point, loosen rack bolt, then center wheel, retighten,,
if that don't work ,, something is bent,,,6in lifts are made to retain factory settings

yea Im getting the gist that something is probably bent. I just dont know how to tell what is bent. I have had that truck on the rack with 3 guys under it for 2 hours and no one could tell if anything was bent. Any tell tell signs of what is bent when both toes are completely INWARD?

if both tierods are completly turned in (their shortest setting) then yes something is bent.

Take a look at the clearance between the end of the tie rod and the rubber of the tire / rim (what ever is just outboard of the end of the tie rod) i bet you will notice that one has a significant difference.

Is it possible that the tie rod ends are not factory and/or wrong ones for the truck? Inner and/or outer.......

passenger side spindle where the tie rod connects to the spindle doesnt look NEARLY as deep in the wheel as driver side. You can also tell by how far away the tie rod attachment point is from the disk. Passenger side is way further.

Did the person that hit you hit on the front or back of the tire. Id bet the back, bending the tire backwards, causing you to have to run the tie rods all the way in.

With your wheels straight, are both of your steering boot covers of equal length? This is just a picture that I pulled off the internet to show what I'm talking about.
