I've read two but see where lots of folks are using 4-ohm 6x9s. Going to buy today and install with a 4-channel amp with high level input. The rears are amplified 4-ohms I believe. Can I still run a amp to them while using stock amplified system. Ps. Keeping stock head unit. Help!

Guys someone knows. Are the front door speakers amplified and are they 2 or 4 ohm?

Pull one out and put an ohm meter on it. That's how you can find out.

Are they amplified? I'd like to add a amp to my 6x9s without running new speaker wire

    Won't give an accurate reading.
The rating is impedance, which is AC at a specific frequency.
DC resistance will not be the same.

    Looks like 4 ohms.

Nope not stamped. Installed some kicker 6x9s cs693 which are 4-ohm and not very loud. I feel like thy really need power to come alive. I have a Clarion XC-1410 4x50 amp that you use high level inputs from speaker wire on back of radio then connect the line out to the speaker wire to the speakers. Super easy as long as the fronts aren't amplified otherwise I suppose I run fresh wire from the amp out to the front speakers and bypass stock front speaker wiring. Thoughts experts?

I think it's because they require 150watts rms...
