Hey peeps! So after it rains, literally almost every time it is more than drizzle, the back seat passenger side floor mat is damp. Right where you would put your right foot. Originally I thought it may have been the sliding back glass so I changed it to a solid single piece but its still damp. So I took off the door panel and changed the plastic covering and the water isn't coming in through the door. I've seen some threads on the front passenger floor mats being wet but and saw that the 1st gens had a recall on peep holes leading into the cab but those holes are in the front and the front of my cab floor mats aren't damp. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

just the floor mat??? not the carpet... sorry OP, never heard of that one. did you check the roof/ceiling maybe you have a leak or drip from above (but I imagine you'd notice that). I had a pinch weld in the top driverside windshield that was rusting, but had it fixed before it was barely noticeable. and I'm pretty sure I'm no help here, good luck and let us know.

Do you park on a flat surface or angled? remember water will settle in the lowest spot it can get to so it may be coming in somewhere else and migrating along the inner floor to the rear

also check under the cab where the rear floor area is and see if there are any holes that water can get into.

there is also a vent and rubber plug in the rear cab wall that could be the culprit

Sorry guys the carpet not the floor mats. The actual carpet touching the metal is damp. What vent and rubber plug are you talking about frizz man? I'm also thinking it could be the window trim on the rear passenger door? It started to crack and looks really dried out. I held the hose over that area and water built up on the lower door trim then slowly went under the running board and touched the carpet. Possible culprit?
